St Vincent de Paul
St Vincent de Paul Society (or as it is often known – the SVP) is an international Christian voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing practical assistance to those in need – irrespective of ideology, faith, ethnicity, age or gender
SLIDE
At the moment Fr. Joseph is trying to provide a special needs teacher in all schools in his area. These children are not given any special tuition and leave school without being able to read or write. Fr. Joseph has to find the money to pay for these teachers.  He is hoping to visit us later in the summer so will update us with what he is doing.
Catenians

City of Salford Catenians meet every 4th TUESDAY at 8pm at Ellesmere Golf Club, Old Clough Lane, Walkden and would like to invite ALL Catholic men irrespective of age or race to come and take a look at us. We’re not about huddling about mumbling prayers; we’re about supporting the Faith, forming Friendships, involving the Family and also having Fun with like-minded people. We especially wish to appeal and invite members from other nationalities to join us.

Socially, we are very active with an event almost every month where we invite family and friends to join us. It costs nothing to come and take a look, in fact we will buy you a drink for your troubles. Come along and take a look. If it’s not for you, well nothing lost. If it is then there is an opportunity to become part of an active social and faith driven organisation. We are also pushing to give away money (not many can say that), as the Bursary Fund supports young Catholic people to volunteer on Catholic and Christian work throughout the world.
